August 6, 1929 ~ July 27, 2021 (age 91)
Harold Foley, 91, of Ashland, passed on to his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Rejoice FWB, 1900 Chapel Hill Road.
Harold was born August 6, 1929, in Columbia, the son of Oscar and Aleta Anderton Foley and they preceded him in death. As a man of faith, love, service, and playfulness, he charmed babies and was quick to help others. He served as a builder, a foster dad to over 300 children, and a church youth leader, spiritual mentor, and board member. He loved and delighted in his family. A humble man, he described himself as someone who fills a spot in the choir and doesn't stand out. But he stood out to many!
Harold was preceded in death by his wife and partner of 63 years, Jane Foley, and is survived by children, Judy Gonnerman and Cheri and David Langaker; four grandchildren, Danielle, Chris, Eric, and Karisha; four great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Breckan, Emelia, and Ave; and his brother, Jim Foley.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebekah Harrach; grandson, Dustin Gonnerman; and siblings, Leon, Bill, Paul, and Anita.
