Mrs. R. B. Van Patten died at her home in Washington township, in this county, at one o'clock p.m., March 15th, '86. She had been ill with typhoid pneumonia, for about ten days. The death of this gentle, refined, Christian lady is an irreparable loss to her family and the community. She came from Illinois with her husband about six years ago, to this county, and had endeared herself greatly by her modest, kindly ways to a large circle of friends, who will become her sincere mourners. She leaves five children living, and her husband, who will receive an abundant heartfelt sympathy in their affliction.
