Mrs. Ellen E. Pauley died here July 17 after a prolonged illness. She was the mother of U.S. Reparations Commissioner Edwin W. Pauley of Beverly Hills.
A native of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Pauley had been a resident of Pasadena and San Mariro for 30 years. She was active in many Pasadena women's organizations until her illness several years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Elbert L. Pauley of Pasadena; two sons, Edwin W. and Harold R. Pauley of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, respectively; three sisters, Misses Minnie, Margaret adn Eva Van Petten, all of Pasadena, and two brothers, George M. Van Petten of Whittier and Albert B. Van Petten of Laguna Beach.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Turner and Stevens Mortuary, Pasadena, with Rev. Douglas D. Tiffany officiating. Private interment was in Mountain View Cemetery.
