Adopted by Jessie and John Day, after her birth mother died when she was less than a month old. She married Albert Wilbur Paddock 14 May 1913.

Mrs. Edith L. Paddock, 73, a life-long Oregonian, died Sunday at a Portland Hospital.
Service will be at 2:30 pm at Zeller Chapel of Roses, with interment at Rose City cemetery.
Born Sept. 18, 1895 in Grants Pass, Mrs. Paddock, a housewife, has lived in Portland for 49 years, most recently at 5632 NE Alberta St.
Surviving her are her sons Robert S., Portland, John P., Grants Pass, and Delbert J., Ridgefield, Wash.; daughters Jeannette E. Rose, Portland, and Partrcia J. Davis, Wichita Falls, Tex.; brother Hubbard Day, The Dalles; sister Pearl Symons, Eugene; 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
