Death Came Suddenly
Steve Hook, Well Known Tinplate Employe, Died Last Night

Ulysses Stephen Hook, 55, died at his home at 2021 North C street, last night about 9:30 o'clock, of leakage of the heart and other complications. He was not known to be ill and his death came as a shock in his many friends. He was born in Bartholomew county March 11, 1864, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. McKinney Hook. He has been employed as a blacksmith at the tinplate for the past eighteen years and was well liked by his fellow workmen and all who knew him. He is survived by the widow and three children, Mrs. Ethel McKenzie of Muncie, and Mrs Fay Tompkins, and Clarence Hook of this city. The funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist Protestant church Thursday afternoon at 8 o'clock by Rev. H. L. Avery, of Muncie asssisted by the pastor and the burial will be in the city cemetery.
