I've been doing genealogy since 1979 after my dad died. I realized I didn't know much about the family.
I'm from Indiana but after my husband died I moved to Kentucky where my sister lived. So now I spend time putting family info on here and work on my tree. I feel it's an act of love and I can come visit any time I want.
My children are my pets. After my two passed away, Fefe was almost 18 and Trixie was 16. I rescued a HavaMalt who was like 2 months old and named him Charlie Chan. I also have a cat named Scooter Pie. He picked out his name himself. I tried naming him different names but they didn't seem to fit and he didn't respond to any of them. One day I was looking at some scooters and thought that would be a cute name. I yelled out Scooter!!! and he came running to me. Now I have also Mommacat, she was abandoned here at the trailer park and she had kittens, she was malnourished, loosing her hair and too skinny to be feeding kittens. Sadly only one survived and she has made herself at home with me. Her name is Sophie. I think she's about 3 months old right now.
I also write poetry and make jewelry, flower arrangements.
I'm researching McColley/Sosbe, Neal/Baughman, Trees, Hills, Trowbridge, Branyan, Hook, Yemmons, Johnson, all kinds of spellings for Sosbe, plus more. It was exciting to find out I'm related to Cindy Crawford and also Drew Carey.
Thank you all for putting a memorial on my family's graves, they are appreciated God bless.
Also if I have any family and you are closer related to that person, I will be happy to transfer them to you.
And if you have any info I'll be glad to add it.
God bless and keep you,
Janet McColley Franklin
