Aaron and his brother, James Monroe Story, both enlisted in Company "C", 15th Regiment, Maine Volunteer Infantry on 31 Oct 1861 at Presque Isle, Aroostook County, Maine. Aaron was a Corporal in the Civil War. He died of "camp fever" at Camp Parapet, Carrollton, Louisiana.
