Young Man Buried Last Friday

Clifford Izatt who passed away at a Lander hospital Friday morning at 6:00 a.m. Sept 5, following a heart attack and pneumonia, was buried in the Afton cemetery Sept 6th. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Ira Izatt of Afton and was born in Afton September 18, 1922 and had he lived a few days more would have been 18 years of age.
Funeral services were held in the South Ward chapel Friday at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Bp. J.L. Metcalf.
The first musical number was a duet "There's a Beautiful Land" by Lucile and Norma Call, with Marette Leavitt accompanist.
Prayer Henry Kennington.
Solo Arthur Roberts, "There is No Death", Chester Hill was the accompanist on the piano.
Ronald Allred was the first speaker, he explained the purpose of life and the Mormon philosophy of the life hereafter. Solo, Arthur Roberts, "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go."
Remarks by Theron Merritt. He spoke of the separation of the spirit from the body and the life in the spirit world.
Remarks by Bp. Metcalf. He spoke of his acquaintance with the family and their sincerity in trying to do what they thought to be right. He read the poem, "There Is No Death."
The closing song was by Ernest Turner, "Prayer Perfect".
Benediction by Ray Merritt.
Many sprays and baskets of beautiful cut flowers banked the casket and rostrum. The pall bearers were Ivan and William Anglesey, Wilford Izatt, Glen Rich, Dean Rich and Lee Hatten.
Clifford is survived by his parents and the following brothers and sisters: LeRoy, Wilda, Hattin, Ralph, and Verda.
