CHAZY -- Sarah W.G. Lamb, 67, of Fiske Road, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born in Bellows Falls, Vt., on May 3, 1940, the daughter of Cecil and Edithe (Griggs) Wheeler.
Sarah graduated from Stillwater High School. She was employed as a secretary for the NYS Division of Military and Naval Affairs in Albany; she was also an activities aide for the Foster Grandparent Program in Mt. Morris, N.Y. She then worked for UUP Union at SUNY Plattsburgh as a secretary and prior to retirement, Sarah worked as an activities aide at Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point.
Sarah's favorite activities were buying, selling and collecting antiques, watching old movies, taking rides in the country and flower gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Lamb of Chazy; one son, Darrell Lamb of Chazy; one daughter, Rachel Lamb of Raybrook; and two brothers, Charles Wheeler of Stillwater, N.Y., and Sidney Wheeler of Albany, N.Y.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours are private and at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Chazy Presbyterian Church. Burial will take place in the spring in Riverview Cemetery in Chazy.
