"Robert E. Beam, 66, of Sunnycrest Manor, formerly of 243 11th St., Apt. 2, died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St. The body was cremated, burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Beam worked for Rath Packing Co. He was born on Sept. 18, 1934, in Manchester, Iowa, son of William H. and Laura M. (Brown) Beam. He attended school in Manchester. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Surviving are his mother, Laura M. Felderman, of Manchester; two daughters, Antonia M. Kruse, of Waterloo, Iowa, and Mary L. Meek, of Davenport, Iowa; a son, Keith E. Beam, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Cory Newell, Zachery Newell, Lucas Sarauer and Kevin Meek; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harlan Beam, of Pierce City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father, William; and a brother, Larry Beam."
