Nick J. Brown, 82, Victoria, died Thursday night at St. Anthony Hospital.

A farmer in the Gorham community for many years, Brown retired and moved to Victoria in 1947. Born in Herzog, Russia, he came to this country at the age of six.

His wife, Rosa, died in 1965. He also was preceded in death by a son.

Survivors include five sons, Celestine, WaKeeney, Tony and John, both of Collyer, Ed J., Denver, Richard, Victoria; five daughters, Mrs. Joe Riedel, Burbank, Calif., Mrs. Isidore Brungardt, Victoria, Mrs. Dean Hollandsworth, WaKeeney, Mrs. Robert Jacobs, Gorham, Mrs. Virgil Schulte, Hill City; a stepson, August Windholz, Victoria; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Herman Berens, Walker, Mrs. Otto Hammerschmidt, Victoria; 54 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren, and six great-great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Fidelis Church, Victoria. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria, from 8 p.m. today until service time. Rosary services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at Cline's.
