Jim Day was born August 13, 1933 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, the son of Rudolph Edmond Day and Dorothy Sarah Holliman Day. He was married to Shirley Morgan on Nov. 10, 1954 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mr. Day worked at Hunts Department Store in Ft. Smith, Ar. for 35 years and retired from USA Truck after 15 years. He was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland, Ok. where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Adult Sunday School Teacher and Assistant Moderator. He was a U.S. Army veteran and an avid gardener. Mr. Day passed this life on December 11, 2008 in Roland, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 75 years, 3 months and 28 days.
He was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Theresa Kolaas,
1 granddaughter: Brandi Day and his parents: Rudolph and Dorotha Day
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Muldrow, burial will be at Roland City Cemetery in Roland, under the direction of Agent Funeral home of Muldrow.
