9. ASAHEL5 NIMS, 2d, son of David4, Jr., 1, d. in Sullivan, at Lot# 149, Apr. 15, 1831. He was a farmer and went to live, as a boy, with his uncle Eliakim4 Nims in S., at 149. He was to have inherited his uncle's estate, but he died before his uncle. The place finally passed to Asahel6 Nims, Jr. Asahel5 m., Sept. 18, 1804, Mary Heaton, b. in that part of Gilsum that is now Sullivan, May 13. 1781; d. in Sullivan, at 149, Jan. 1, 1831 ; dau. of Jonathan and Thankful (Sawyer) [Clark] Heaton. The record of this family in Hayward's Gilsum is very defective. There were ten children, all b. in Sullivan, at Lot #149:
