BEACH

Laura Senner Beach was born Jan. 22, 1885 and passed away Dec. 14, at Ashland, Oregon at the age of 88 years.
She is survived by her six children, Donald Beach, Eltopia, WA.; Oren Beach, Clay Center; Erman Schripter, Ashland, Oregon; Helen Pagel, Vancouver, WA.; Ralph Beach, Eugene, Oegon; Roaslie Simpson, Fremont, CA.; one sister, Rose Green, Clay Center, one sister-in-law, Ruth Retter, Ashland, Oregon. Also 13 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, many relatives and friends.
She grew up in the Bucks Grove neighborhood and was married to Wright Beach on May 10, 1907. They lived on the Beach homestead until 1915, except for two years in southern Missouri. In 1915 the family moved to a farm west of Soldier, living there until 1941, when Mrs. Beach went to Vancouver, WA to make her home with her daughter, Helen Pagel. Her husband passed away Feb. 9. 1939. She lived there a number of years and moved to Ashland, Oregon.
She took Christ as her Savior at an early age and lived a Christian life. She always had a happy and warm place in her heart when she visited in this area, which she did quite often.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bucks Grove Methodist church west of Holton. MusicaL arrangements were by Mrs. Lloyd Venneberg at the organ and Clyde and Claude Rieschick furnishing the vocal music. Burial was in the Bucks Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lloyd Venneberg, Paul Venneberg, Martin Armstrong, Neil Fordham, Dave Fordham, and Fred Venneberg.
Mercer Funeral Home of Holton was in charge of arrangements.
