She married Otha Lee Roberts, the son of Leroy Roberts and Lizzie Rush Roberts, who was also a native of Kemper County, MS. Thirteen children, eight sons and five daughters, were born to their union.
She died December 24, 1990, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS, at the age of 60.
