He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Steve Wimmer and wife Gina of Portland, Missouri, and Nicholas Wimmer and Hanna Rothove of Williamsburg, Missouri; three daughters, Lisa Sansoucie of St. Louis, Missouri, Christine Slaughter and Brett King of St. Louis, Missouri, and Linda Wimmer and Don Schmidt of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Viola Butzer of the state of Idaho; fifteen grandchildren -- Wayne, Brian, Amanda, Kristopher, Kory, Keaton, Jennifer, Jerry, Chad, John, Justin, Jimmie, Crystal, Katie, and Joshua; seven great-grandchildren, Hayley, Kaitlyn, Emma, Gabby, Leeland, Aubrey, and Nathanal; other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Alma Dittmer, and five brothers, Jim, Charlie, Gene, John, and Herb Wimmer.
Ben was a machinist by trade but farmed most of his life. He loved God, nature, and a cold beer.
