Velma Ruth Belt, 90, of Mulberry passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2008. She was a longtime member of Vine Prairie Baptist Church, a retired 35 year employee of Garrison Furniture Factory and the widow of Artie Belt.
She was preceded in death her parents, Moten David and Victoria Harness Blasingame; 3 brothers, Murphy, Guy and Ray Blasingame.
Survivors include 2 sons, Odean and wife Wanda of Alma, Gary Belt and wife, Joyce of Mulberry; 4 Grandchildren, Kevin Belt, Cheryl Peters, Chad Belt and Kasandra Millsap; 8 Great Grandchildren, Ashton and Austin Peters, hannah and Joel Belt, Brianna and Luaren Belt, Logan and Braeden Millsap.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Vine Prairie Baptist Church with burial at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Belt, Chad Belt, Brian Peters, Jeff Millsap, Ashton Peters and Justin Blasingame.
