Alice B. Jackson Beyer, 87, of New Cumberland, died Monday, December 8, 2008, at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown.

She was retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, New Cumberland; a graduate of Newport High School; a former Girl Scout leader; a member of East Pennsboro Senior Center, Enola; and Redland Senior Citizens Club, Fairview Twp.; Order of Pythian Sisters Pride of Buehler Temple 151, Marysville; American Association of Retired Persons; Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees; Order of Eastern Star Capital City Chapter 146 of Harrisburg; Golden Age Club; and the New Cumberland Fire Department.

Alice was a volunteer at Susquehanna Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation where she was also Secretary. She was on the Board of the Auxiliary at Aspin Center, and Dauphin County Area Agency of Aging, all of Harrisburg.

Alice was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, a daughter of the late Judge W. Jackson and Lucy Baker Jackson. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Lucy Lyda and Carol Lee Johnston.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue B. Fleming of Mitchelville, MD; her son Rev. F. Jackson Beyer Chaplain of West Seneca, NY; three granddaughters, four grandsons, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Masonic Village, John S. Sell Chapel, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service.

Inurnment will be at Rolling Green Memorial Park. Sullivan Funeral Home Enola
