Mrs. Alwilda Dillon, age 87, of Pittsboro died Christmas Eve in the Memorial Clinic, Indianapolis, after a week's illness.
She was the eldest daughter of James and Mary Carter. She had nine brothers and sisters. She was a great-great-granddaughter of Sam McCormick, an early settler in Indianapolis. She married Alonzo Dillon, who died 10 years ago on Christmas Day. She lived on a farm near Pittsboro until two and a half months ago when she moved to a new home in the Northwood Addition of Pittsboro.
Survivors are three children, Earl Dillon and Etta Shirley of Pittsboro, Morris Dillon of near Lebanon; two brothers, one sister, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday morning at the Gregory Funeral Home in Pittsboro with the Rev. R. R. Ohaver in charge. Burial was in the Lizton Cemetery.
