Used the name of Tom Pinney/Murch Penny

Son of John Hopwood Bleazard and Matilda Murch

Father died in 1854 while coming to Utah. Raised by John Hopwood Bleazard.

Married Sarah Jane Van Leuven, 25 Feb 1881, Hillsdale, Garfield, Utah

Children - Ada May Pinney; Susan Eliza Pinney; Sarah Janet Pinney; Clara Pinney

Research note on Thomas Murch Pinney's biological father was John Hopwood Bleazard (Blazzard), and not the man who died on the Plains. Thomas was an Intervenor with the Plaintiffs, and in Court stating that he was an heir to his father's, John Hopwood Bleazard, estate (along with the children of Sarah Searcy). I have transcribed the Court records and Thomas is strongly examined and cross examined regarding his name and paternity. Thomas said he always knew that John Hopwood Bleazard was his father, but his mother, and his friends almost always referred to him as "Murch Pinney." (by Joan Thomas)
