Funeral services were held Wednesday, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, for Aaron Richard Blanton, 23, who died Saturday, June 30, 2001. Mr. Blanton was born June 13, 1978, in Johnson County, to Wanda Gail Blanton and the late Charles P. Pigg. Also preceding him in death are two sisters, Andrea Gail Helton and Paula Jo Shannon. Also surviving his death are four brothers, Robert Charles Pigg, Paul Denis Blanton, Christopher Wayne Blanton and Gary Bryan Fraley, all of Paintsville; six sisters, Melinda Pigg, Michelle Pigg Justice, Leeann Blanton Blevins, and Jamie Nichole Blanton Helton all of Paintsville. Also surviving are two grandmothers, Ruth Pigg Johnson and Anna Blanton. Officiating the service was Dick VanHoose. Burial followed at Lakeview Cemetery, Staffordsville.
