.OBITUARY The Tipton Advertiser July 20, 1906
Mrs. Rosa Spencer was born in Ohio, Sept. 25, 1855. Came with her daughter to Iowa n the year 1900. She was converted and united with the United Bretheran church in the year 1898, in which she lived a faithful member until death. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Kpblentz, to mourn the loss. She has gone to meet her loved ones that await her on the other shore. She died at the home of her daughter in Red Oak Grove, July 9, 1906, aged 50 years, 9 months and 14 days.
The funeral was preached by Rev. W. G. Beaird, the pastor of the Red Oak Grove Presbyterian church from Ps. 17:12, and her body was laid to rest in the Red Oak Grove cemetery.
"A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home,
Which can never be filled."
