Carolyn A. King, 35, of Madison, died Tuesday, April 9, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
She was born on June 29, 1960, in Madison, the daughter of Thomas E. and Mary Jane Cox Furnish. She had been employed by the Madison Special Education Services for the Southwestern Schools. She was a graduate of Ball State University, was an active troop leader for the Brownies, and was a member of the Kentucky Organ Donors Association.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Terry L. King; two daughters, Courtney Marie King and Hailee Brooke King, both at home, one son, Zachary Lee King, at home; her mother, of Madison; five brothers, Tom Furnish of Columbus, Steven Furnish, of Indianapolis, Tim Furnish of Floyds Knobs, and David and Christopher Furnish, both of Madison; her grandmother, Rosella Kasper Cox of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, in 1980; an infant sister, Marie Ann Furnish; and her grandfather, Arthur Cox.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home Madison Chapel from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday, and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
A prayer service and rosary recitation will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
