Abstract--age 77, of Newburg, died Apr. 27, in Grafton City Hospital. He was born Sept. 4, 1893, at Newburg, s/o the late Charles and Mary Ashby. Survivors include his widow, Mary F. Ashby; one son, Charles of Hyattsville, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Lauman of College Park, Md., and Mrs. Genevieve Kellar of Courtland, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ball of Buckhannon, Mrs. Eva Sanders of Aurora, Mrs. Louise Nine of Tionesta, Pa., Mrs. Helen Silcott of Weston and Mrs. Irene White of Charleston; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Burial was in Shay' s Chapel Cemetery.
