Frankie married Claude R. Barkdull on September 19, 1927. They moved to Nevada where they lived and worked on the Ellison Ranching Co. at the Spanish Ranch in Tuscarora until 1962.
Frankie and Claude moved to Modesto, CA where Claude managed cattle on the Faith Ranch until his retirement in 1978. They then moved to their Arch Ranch home in Stockton, CA until 2002.
After the death of Claude on May 5, 2001, Frankie moved to Sacramento, CA with her daughter, then later to Kaysville, UT to live with her son and daughter-in-law. For the past year or so, she has lived at both Apple Tree and Apple Village enjoying new friends and sharing many stories of her 98 years of life.
"Nana" loved flowers, animals, crafts and handiwork. She knitted many sweaters for family and friends, but her great love was quilting, most of it done by hand. She left many precious memories of her quilting to family and friends. All these things made her happy, but most of all she loved her family.
Frankie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She completed a marvelous work and gift for her family. At the age of 92 on August 3, 2002, she was sealed to her life long love, Claude in the Salt Lake Temple, thus giving her the forever family she had wanted for many years. Frankie was also a loving and dedicated visiting teacher.
