Frank enlisted in Confederate Service as a Private in Company D, 28th MS Cavalry. He rose to the rank of Major as Quartermaster of the 12th MS Cavalry. He was discharged from service on June 22, 1865.
Frank married Miss Marion Rucks, daughter of Judge James & Henrietta Rucks of Three Oaks Plantation(Leland) and sister of Lewis Taylor Rucks. They married on January 17, 1861 at St. Andrews in Jackson, MS. Their known children are Leroy, Fannie, Henry(Hal), Mary and Louise.
