She was born in Sampson, Ala., and lived most of her life in Bay County. Mrs. Barnes was a member of The Rock Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Howard Barnes, and a granddaughter, Kirstie.
Survivors include her children, David and Charla Barnes of Daphne, Ala., Ricky and Beth Barnes of Panama City and Kenny and Jolene Barnes of Lynn Haven; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; special friends, Terry and Jo Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with David Barnes officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, from 6 until 8 p.m.
