JOHANNES--Service Pending - Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Anna Johannes, 2612 21st Street, who died Monday morning at home, are pending at Gass-Haney Funeral Home.

JOHANNES--Thursday rites set for Anna Johannes
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Johannes, 92, of 2612 21st Street, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Otto Schlegelmilch officiating.
Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery. Her body will lie in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home after 11 a.m. Wednesday and at church from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Johannes, who died Monday at home, was a life-long resident of Platte County.
Daughter of the late William and Elisa Engelbart Wurdeman, she was born Feb. 15, 1879 and was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church.
On Oct. 16, 1902 she married John Johannes and lived in the Leigh community where she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. Moving to Columbus in 1960, she joined Peace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by five children, Ellen, Werner and Mrs. Martin (Irene) Rickert of Columbus, Clarence of Leigh, Mrs. Rheao (Viola) Timblin of Unadila; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Erich Wurdeman of Schuyler, Adolph Wurdeman of Leigh; and one sister, Mrs. Clara Wilke of Columbus.
Her husband died in 1947. Also preceding her in death were a sister, Mrs. Frieda Grotelueschen, and brother, Otto Wurdeman.

JOHANNES--Johannes Funeral - Final rites for Mrs. Anna Johannes, 92, who died Monday at her home, were conducted Thursday by Rev. Otto Schlegelmilch at Peace Lutheran Church and Christ Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers and proxies were Kenneth Johannes, Clinton Johannes, Kenlon Johannes, Loyal Staube, Virgil Timblin, Robert Rosicky, Bill Timblin, Herbert Wilke, Keith Johannes and Richard Bohleber. Gass-Haney Funeral Home was in charge.
