Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Deisch attended the funeral Thursday of Mrs. Deisch's brother, Asa O. Roose, who lived six miles east of Argos. He died in a hospital at Rochester from injuries sustained in a very unusual way. He was digging a pit in a field on his farm into which to roll a very large stone, in order to lower it so that he could plow over it. While so engaged the soil under the stone gave way unexpectantly and the stone, weighing tons, rolled upon him, crushing him against the bank. He was so badly injured that death resulted.
