WASHINGTON TWP. -- Stacey Mae Myers, 17, of Washington Township, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1993, at Porter Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 24, 1976, in Valparaiso, and was a junior at Valparaiso High School. She attended Washington Evangelical Free Church and competed in numerous sports in Special Olympics.
Surviving are her parents, Richard and Barbara (Caprous) Myers of Washington Township; a brother, Jason, and a sister, Jennifer, both at home; maternal grandparents, Gene and Vale Caprous of Liberty Township; and her paternal grandmother, Alta Clouse of Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Edward P. Myers.
Services 10:30 a.m. Friday at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso; the Rev. Dean Christianson officiating; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso; visitation 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; memorials to the Porter County Special Olympics or the Shriners Burn Center.
