Mr. James "Bud" Quentin Ball, 84, passed away at the Golden Living Center Northside in Atlanta, GA. He was born to the late Zack and Ethel Mae Ball and moved to Atlanta, Georgia when he was 2 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Ball whom he married on March 9, 1946. He was retired after 35 years of employment with Fulton County Board of Education. Mr. Ball was baptized at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on May 4, 1952 and later became a permanent member of The Move of God Church in Atlanta. His sense of humor was always present among friends and family, and his passion in life was traveling and trains. He was affectionately called "Buddy" by his mother and to most of his friends and family he was simply called "Bud". Bud is survived by his three children and their spouses; sons, Milton James Ball and Horace Gregory Ball; daughter, Anthalena Yvette Brown; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Gervis Manson and Gloria Ross; his brother, Charles Ball and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 1 :00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, at The Move of God Church, Inc. Atlanta, Georgia with Elder Louis E. Spear, officiating. Hines Home of Funerals, Atlanta, Georgia.
