Funeral services for Calvin Richard "Nub" Goff, 79, of Lucedale were held August 13 at 11 a.m. at Sigler Funeral Home Chapel.

He was a native of George County and lived on London Street. He was a member of the Lucedale Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for several years.

He was a retired civil service employee of the Naval Base in Gulfport and of the City of Lucedale. He died August 11 at George county Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include his wife, (now deceased Vernon P. Goff); a daughter and seven grandchildren.

Other survivors include nine great grandchildren; three sisters (two now deceased, Willie Nell Miller and Audie Carter); and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted by Bro. Don Myers and Bro. Larry Burch. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery, with Sigler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
