Heart Attack At Plant Here Fatal To Arthur Witner
Arthur Witner, 63, residing at 815 Jefferson street, died unexpectedly at 8:10 a.m. today of a heart attack while at work at the McGill Manufacturing company plant.
The decedent was born in Ohio Dec. 18, 1887, and had resided in Porter county for 45 years. He had been employed at the McGill company for 30 years.
Surviving are the widow, Kathryn; three daughters, Miss Pauline Witner, of Alton, Ill., Mrs. Evelyn Woodmansee, Chino, Calif., and Mrs. Kathleen Fredericks, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and one brother, Frank Witner, of Valparaiso. One daughter, Loretta, and one brother, Merrill, preceded him in death.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced tomorrow.

Mr. and Mrs. John Earl Fredericks and family arrived Friday afternoon from Fort Wayne, called by the sudden death of Mrs. Fredericks' father, Arthur Witner, 815 Jefferson street. Miss Pauline Witner, another daughter, arrived last evening from Alton, Ill. A third daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Woodmansee of Chino, Calif., is making the trip here this afternoon by plane and will reach Chicago this evening, where she will be met by her uncle, Frank Witner of Valparaiso, and motored to Valparaiso.

Witner Rites To Be Held Monday
Memorial services for Arthur Witner, 818 Jefferson, who died Friday morning while at work at the McGill Manufacturing company plant, where he had been employed for 35 years, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Christian church with the Rev. Percy Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call at the LePell funeral home from 4 p.m. Sunday and until time of services Monday.
The decedent, who was born in Ohio, came to Porter county with his parents when a small child. For more than half a century he was a faithful member of the Christian church and served as deacon for many years and also a member of the official board.
Surviving besides his widow, Kathryn, are three daughters and one brother. One daughter, Lauretta, and one brother, Merrill, preceded him in death.
