Andrew, son of Alfred and Martha Jacobs, was one of eight brothers and four sisters all living until married life. Married 15 Mar 1853 Mary Hatcher who died 17 June 1874. Nine children born, all dying in youth escept Marion C. Married 26 Aug 1875, Miss Margaret Louthan Peterson. Four children born. Wife and two children, Alfred W. and Lillian M preceded him. Survived by three children, Marion C., Forrest L. and Jessie Florence. Came to Kentucky with parents in 1835, then on to MO. Settled on a farmstead, where he died, in April of 1855 having obtained it from the government, bearing the signature of President Buchanan seventy one years ago. Services at Locust Valley Church.
