Lillie (Tichavsky) Adair, 93, of West, passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, in Waco. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott.

Lillie was born in West, Texas, to the late Joe Frank and Agnes (Bartosh) Tichavsky. She attended West schools. On October 10, 1940 she married Walter W. Adair in Abbott. Lillie worked for West Community Hospital for over 17 years before retiring in 1987. Prior to that, she worked for Grant Buie Hospital in Hillsboro. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Lillie volunteered at West Rest Haven for over 15 years. She enjoyed traveling, working in the yard, and eating at Luby's Cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 4, 1992; brother, Louis Tichavsky; sisters, Frances Grones, Leona Bezdek, and Rosie Kallus; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Adair.

Survivors include brother-in-law, Jerry Bezdek, of Abbott; sister-in-law, Earlene Pospisil, of West; nephews, Jimmy Adair, Donald Adair, Carl Adair, Dennis Adair, Mike Adair, Richard Kallus, Michael Bezdek, Edwin Grones, and Grady Bailey; nieces, Doris J. Thrasher, Carolyn Cosgrove, Virginia Kallus, Linda Rosen, Barbara Bezdek, Beatrice Nors, Margie Higginbotham, and Frances Mingo; and many great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
