James D. Stanfield, 53, of south of Martinsville, died Christmas Day at 2:30 P.M. in the Paris Hospital. Mr. Stanfield had undergone major surgery several days before.
Surviving are his wife, Lurah, 4 sons, James of Muncie, Indiana; John William of Mt. Carmel, Ill.; George of Oceanside, Calif.; Robert who resides at home. Also 3 brothers, Othello of West Union; Ova of Martinsville and Percy of Marshall.
The funeral rites will be held Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the Greenwell Funeral Home. Rev. F. D. Menze of the Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge lawn cemetery.
