Othello married Naomi Thressia (Oma) Nidey 17 January 1920 in Robinson, Crawford Co, IL. They had children: Pauline, Mildred Lorene, Forrest Dean (Bud), Rosemary, Betty Louise, and Kenneth Albert Gene.

Othello R. Stanfield, 61 years old, of West Union, died at 6:15 o'clock Tuesday evening at the Paris Hospital.

Surviving are the widow, Oma, four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Rusher and Mrs. Rosemary Daugherty both of West Union, Mrs. Betty Richards of Robinson and Mrs. Ruby Goss of Alton, Ill.; four sons, Forest Stanfield of Iowa, Kenneth Stanfield of West Union; Garnet Cornwell of R. R. 1, West York and Ralph O. Cornwell of Marshall, Ill., two brothers, Ova Stanfield of Martinsville, and Percy Stanfield of West Union.

Services will be at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the West Union Christian Church. Brother Paul Frost will officiate and burial will be in Bailiff Cemetery. Masonic Lodge No. 313 F & A. M. of West Union will conduct graveside rites.

The body was taken to the Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel and will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.
