John M. Aleksandrowicz, Sr., age 78 of Ridgefield, husband of the late Jennie (Pope) Aleksandrowicz died Monday morning, November 24, 2008 at Danbury Hospital shortly after his admission. He was stricken ill at home. Mr. Aleksandrowicz was born in Stamford, October 18, 1930, son of the late Michael and Helen Alek-sandrowicz. He attended Stamford schools and was a retired tool and dye maker for Mt. Vernon Tool and Dye Company of Mt. Vernon, N.Y. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish, Ridgefield. He is survived by three sons, Robert and his wife, Christine and Michael and his wife, Donna, all of New Milford and John of Ridgefield; two sisters, Helen Morris and Sophie Alek-sandrowicz, both of Stamford; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 1:15 p.m. in St. Mary's Church, Ridgefield. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. www.kanefuneralhome.net.
