Vance Gustin
MARKLEVILLE- Vance Gustine, 78, lifelong resident of Markleville, died suddenly Tuesday morning at his home.
A son of John and Sarah Gustin, he was born March 2, 1891 in Madison County. He had been employed with the State Highway Department. His wife, Georgia, died in 1957. Surviving are five sons, Harold Gustin of Anderson, Gerald Gustin, Ralph Gustin, and Herbert Gustin, all of Markleville, and Glen Gustin of Lapel; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian McCormick of Markleville; two sisters, Mrs. Forrest (Jessie) Forney and Mrs. Bertha McClain, both of Middletown; and 14 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Bright Funeral Home this evening after 7 o'clock. Final rites will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Internment will be in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
