Bob Stierwalt, 72, died November 22, 2008 with his loving family by his side.
He was born to Walter and Muriel (Adams) Stierwalt on November 4, 1936 in Urbana, Kansas.
He was united in marriage to Rose Shults on June 19, 1959 in Erie, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Bob had many names including husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, friend, mechanic and tow truck driver.
Along with his wife Rose, Bob is survived by four children and their spouses, Mike and Donna Stierwalt of Augusta, KS, Randy and Dana Stierwalt of Fredonia, KS, Misty and Mike Franklin of Farlington, KS, and Wendy and Dave Wade of Buffalo, KS. He adored and bragged on fourteen grandchildren, Mike Stierwalt Jr., Miranda Comacho, Austan Bever, Jordan Bever, Logan Franklin, Madison Bever, Paige Wade, Zach Franklin, Payton Wade, Lauren Franklin, Kaleb and Kallee Franklin, Brenna Stierwalt and Samuel Stierwalt; and two great-granddaughters, Sadies Stierwalt and Aaliyah Comacho. He is also survived by two brothers, LaVern Stierwalt of Mesa, AZ and Arnold Stierwalt of Fort Worth, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Melvin Stierwalt; and two sisters, Betty Staggs and Phyllis Cook.
Funeral services will be held November 26, 2008 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, Chanute, KS. Burial will follow in Urbana Cemetery, Urbana, Kansas.
Memorials in his name may be made to Southern Care Hospice and may be left with the funeral home.
