He was born Dec. 2, 1904 (his tombstone states 1903) at Commerce, the son of Albert and Anna Moore Ancell.
On Dec. 22, 1934, he married the former Orena Mae "Renee" Carter in Vienna, Ill. She survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Anna Lee Ancell; a brother, Walter Ancell; two sisters, Mrs. W.L. Waggener and Mrs. P.M. Yowell. Four brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Ancell began work in 1927 with Missouri Utilities in Sikeston. In 1931, he transferred to Cape Girardeau and worked there until his retirement in 1970.
He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and the Better Service Club for Missouri Utilities.
Funeral service will be Saturday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home here. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
