Otha (Monroe) Needham, age 93, of Maynardville, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Otha was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She had a love for the medical field and was a nurse at Baptist Hospital for several years. Otha was the co-owner and operator of Union Laundry and Dry Cleaning for 24 years.

Otha is preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Needham; parents, Dr. Richard and Ella Monroe; sisters, Eileen Monroe, Leah Wolfe and Vauda Lee Needham; special niece; Janice Vestal; and son-in-law, Steve Stooksbury. She is survived by daughters, Shirlene (H. E.) Booker, of Johnson City, and Kimberly (Ron) Presley, of Maynardville; sons, Michael Needham and Gregory Needham, both, of Maynardville; grandchildren, Byron (Heidi) Booker, Bethany (David) Mincey, Brittany Booker, Whitney (Chase) Stover and Trent Stooksbury; great-grandchildren, Meredith Mincey, Mary Beth Mincey and Cooper Stover; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 23, 2017, in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will immediately follow, with Dr. Alan Price and Reverend Tim Hopkins officiating with music by Reverend Mike Bundon. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2017 at Lynnhurst Cemetery, Knoxville, for a 1:00 p.m. interment service.
