Byrd Dillinger, Sr., age 94, passed away on March 14, 1976 in Jackson, Ohio. Byrd and his wife, Stella Zinn Dillinger were farmers and he was a mailman and a Minister. They were lifetime residents of Jackson County, Ohio. Byrd had a heart attack at about age 80 and lived to be 94. He was survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Erma Funk and Barbara (George) Palone, five sons and daughters-in-law, Elden (Mildred), Kenneth (Hazel), Byrd, Jr. (Nola), Carroll (Wanda) and Ralph (Irene), 31 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchilden on the way, all of whom was born by the end of April of 1976 (including one who was born on the day Byrd was buried), and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George, Jr. and Ann McCray Dillinger, wife, Stella Bertrice Zinn Dillinger, on Nov. 20, 1971, son, Curtis, on Feb. 26, 1920, infant daughter, Leah, on Mar. 18, 1921, brothers and sisters, John Lewis, William Norris (half-brother), Adaline, Letitia, Edgar, Norman, Alice and Frank, a son-in-law, Noel Funk, a granddaughter, Carolyn Funk, infant granddaughter, Myrna Dillinger and infant great-grandson Darin Dwaine Funk. Funeral was on March 17, 1976. Burial followed in Pattonsville Cemetery.
