Mrs. Susannah Thompson was born in Seneca County, Ohio July 1836 and died October 31, 1911 at the home of her nephew, Elias Caywood in Reading, where she had been cared for during her last sickness.
She was twice married. To Joseph Van Fossen in 1851, to them were born three children, one of whom is living. Her second marriage was to Hugh Thompson. To them was born one daughter, Mrs. Harry Adams of Reading.
She was a Christian the greater part of her life and maintained her faith to the last. The funeral was conducted by Rev. A. S. Williams.
