Departed on Jun. 20, 2008 and resided in Tremonton, UT

Tremonton – Jolyn Christiansen Colyer passed away on June 20, 2008. She was born July 12, 1953 to Garth and Dora Christiansen in American Fork, Utah. She was reared in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Jolyn attended Snow College where she met her eternal companion, Earl Colyer. They were married on September 6, 1974 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple on September 6, 1975. Together they raised three beautiful children, residing mainly in Tremonton, Utah.

With her love for books and reading, she spent many years as a Tremonton City Librarian, along with her full time position as a mother and wife.

She will be remembered by her love for her grandchildren both biological and adopted neighborhood children. Jolyn loved and was very active in her faith and membership to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, where she held many Primary callings.

Jolyn also loved flowers, anything yellow and scrapbooking. She was obsessed with a clean home and elaborate holiday decorations. Jolyn was a kind and caring person who collected people into her heart and was a best friend to many.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Colyer, 3 children, Justin (Nicole), Curt (Jolie) Colyer, and Candice (Brendon) George, and seven adorable grandchildren, who were her life. She is also survived by three brothers and three sisters.
She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 25, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Tremonton South Stake Center located at 1150 South Tremont Street. Friends and family may call at Rogers and Taylor funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
