Unity – Mrs. Lillian E. Pomeroy, 40, died at a Waterville hospital Friday, June 26, 1953, after a brief illness. She was born in Lincoln August 30, 1912, daughter of J. Frank and Mildred (Palmer) MacDonald.

She had lived in Waterville the past six years but formerly was a Unity resident.

Besides her husband, Clair Pomeroy, she leaves two sons, Clarendon S. Pomeroy and Ervin R. Pomeroy, both of Waterville; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Bickford of Waterville, and Miss Rita Pomeroy of Albion; six brothers, Theodore McDonald of Costigan, J. Frank McDonald and Allen McDonald of Albion, Clifton McDonald of Lincoln, Harry McDonald of Enfield, and Daniel McDaniel of Dresden; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Gipson of Bangor, Mrs. Mabel Gipson of Springfield, Mrs. Frances Harding of Lewiston, and Miss Mildred McDonald of Lincoln;

Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Unity Union Church with the Rev. Milton Brophy officiating. Burial will be in Pond Cemetery in Unity.
