**Orlan E. Adcock was born in Davis County, Iowa, March 12th 1897, was converted at the age of 11 and joined the Christian Church.
**In 1905 the family, of which Orlan was the youngest member, moved to Checotah. In 1910 the family came to Ramona, where Orlan as a boy of 13 years, entered the 6th grade. Here in Ramona, Orlan finished school where he not only excelled in scholarship, but won and held throughout his life, a host of friends among his school mates. During his highschool days he became one of the greatest basketball stars and track men that Ramona has ever produced.
**After leaving high school he became a rural mail carrier thru-out the Ramona community.
**June 5th, 1918, he was married to Miss Ruby Wallace. To this union one daughter was born. Fifteen year ago this month he became ill and throughtout the years of intense suffering which became his lot, his cheerfulness and bravery won the admiration of every on who knew him. He loved his home and family, and spent most of his time in planning their welfare and happiness.
