From C. Bozeman , member # 46985035 Nov. 7, 2021:
Mrs. Susan M Giddens has a CSA pension application on line under Jeff Davis County, Ga. in the Georgia Archives.
She says she is currently married to "Oliver" Waldren and married him on Oct 25, 1841. He enlisted in Company B of the 50th GA regiment in March 1862 and died in Nov. 1862. She does not give the place of death.
She then married Jasper Giddens of Ware County on 11 Nov. 1866 and gives proof. He died in Hernando County, Florida about 1898. There is a page from a witness, stating that Jasper Giddens was accidentially shot in 1898 by J. C. Calhoun, at Bay City, Florida in Hernando County.
There is also a witness statment in the same paperwork, from J. C. Bennett of Jeff Davis County, that says Mrs. Susan M Giddens died on 5 February 1917 and was buried in Waycross, GA. She did not own enough property to pay her final bills. ( Mrs.J. C. Bennett of Hazelhurst, GA ( Jeff Davis County) is also the witness on Jefferson Elias Giddens death certificate.)
Based on these records, her Walden husband so linked may not be correct. See her own words in the document below:
