She was employed for several years by the Ray Merritt Dry Goods Store in Aledo and later owned and operated a gift shop in Aledo. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Aledo and was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Hedvig-Lindorf Hospital Circle of the Messiah Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two sisters: Edith Anderson of Aledo; and Myrtle Nesbitt of Aledo; one brother, Arthur, of Muskegon Hts., MI; a sister-in-law, Mrs Marvin Franks, Aledo; several nieces and nephews.
