Martha Woodsum was born about 1745 probably in Berwick Maine. She was the daughter of John Woodsum and Mary Bracket. She married James Roberts in 1767 and they had at least 7 children. He was drowned on the Merrimack River. In 1782 she marred Daniel Whitehouse and they had at least 5 more children. When she and Daniel were old they moved to Vassalboro, ME where they are buried
